Our Halloween

We had a fun Halloween weekend. It started Thursday with Keiya dressing up as a pirate for her class. They did a "literature fair" and the book her class read a book about pirates, so I whipped up this costume the night before....not the most intimidating pirate, but I thought it turned out pretty good for a 20 minute costume! We did the whole Trunk or Treat at the wardy on Friday. Our good friends Cole and Lisa and their kids came along. We had a great time! On Halloween we did the rounds in the neighborhood. The best part was when we got back home, Keiya was more interested in passing out candy. We sat outside on the porch with our candy and when people didn't see us, Keiya went out to the sidewalk and started clapping and pointing to our house. She got many trick or treaters to come our way. It was so funny....she was SO serious! Here's some pictures of our weekend!

Memorable Moments

The last couple weeks have been pretty busy and to be honest I was really upset about our little field trip that I didn't post anything yet. Four of us took time out to plan and chaperone this trip (without pay mind you) and it was definitely the last trip I will plan or go on. I was so upset at the horrible attitudes of many of the students. They were so ungrateful and had the nerve to complain about a free trip out of state, where they got to experience the Museum of Tolerance, Hollywood Walk of Fame, the beach and Santa Monica Pier. Not to mention, we got to camp and be out of hot Phoenix. Needless to say, 3 kids got kicked out of school as a result of their rude and quite disrespectful attitudes. Of course they kept sneaking out of their tents trying to "hook up" as well. We didn't have these issues with the other groups we have taken, so it was quite a slap in the face. Never again! On the brighter side, there were a handful of good students who were grateful and had a good time. I have never wanted a weekend to end so badly! I seriously want to find a new career!!!

On a more cheerful note, my sister and brother came out on my birthday and celebrated with us. My sweet friend, Lisa, invited us all over for dinner. We had a great time and I enjoyed my birthday. WOW....32....I am now officially a thrity something.

So we are getting excited for our impending arrival and I CAN'T wait to not be pregnant. Don't get me wrong, I am so thankful to be having another baby, but man, I am TIRED! (and not to mention, I want to meet this little soccer player in my belly)

Here are some recent pictures!

A lot of people tell Harold that he looks like Cuba Gooding Jr. so we took a picture next to his star!

Hanging out with Snoop Dog!! (Well kind of)

I look like a shorty and am I oh, so round!

A birthday family photo

Keiya came out in this get-up tonight and I thought it was pretty funny.

Crazy....

Well I have been told I am crazy lately...In my delusional state, I decided to plan yet another field trip. I planned this back in August (in the euphoric 2nd trimester)and we are actually going to the Museum of Tolerance in LA on the 15th. Not only are we going on a nice long road trip, but we are camping, yes I said camping. Since sleeping in a bed is now quite uncomfortable, I am wondering what sleeping in a tent will be like. Nevertheless I am excited as it should be another fun adventure! I will be sure to post those pictures!!!

I have been off work this week for our Fall Break and it was such a nice break. Keiya and I went to San Diego for a long weekend. My parents kept Keiya for her Fall Break which is next week when I am back at work. My poor honey had to work so he wasn't able to join us. He is so sweet! When I came back, he had a nice dinner waiting and had put some finishing touches on the baby's room and got the cutest curtains for Keiya's room! Pictures are coming soon!!

My growing belly.....

Life is going pretty well. I feel really blessed that our school is still going and we have our jobs. Even though it gets difficult sometimes, I am so grateful we are still working and I have pretty good hours with some great vacations! :) I can't believe that there are only 3 more weeks left of the term at work and then a week break!!! I can't wait for the week off. I am starting to feel the strain of working and being preggers!! I know lots of people do it and I did it before, but I am starting to get a little tired...and I still have 3 months to go! We had our first birthing class on Saturday. It was really cool because it was just Harold and I and my friend and her husband. We work next to a birthing center and one of the doulas (sp?) is doing our classes for us. Harold said he had already watched the youtube videos and was just going for a "refresher course". Haha....I am just waiting for him to faint in the delivery room! Just kidding....I think he will do well! I hope it goes better this time than last!

Well people have been asking to see pictures of the belly so here ya go...this is 27 weeks.....getting rounder and rounder by the day. Can you tell I was tired before going to work???

I never really have time to do many projects so I was so happy to do some simple iron ons on some onesies. I know they are so simple to do (which is perfect for me), but I think they turned out pretty cute and I can't wait to see them on the little cutie!

Some firsts....

We have had a couple "firsts" lately!

1)Our baby GIRL'S first picture
2)Keiya's first day of school
3)Wall art (read-on....I will explain)

We found out that we are having a girl! My stomach is growing and growing and I am officially doing the pregnant waddle. It's really cute and attractive....I know you are all jealous. Here is one of the first pictures. (I know these ones are kinda weird looking, but you can see that she sucks her thumb already!)

Keiya started kindergarden! Okay, so there is a story behind this one since Keiya is only 4 and won't be 5 until the end of April. We have one elementary school in the district that we work in and they told me they were going to have a Pre-K program so I was SO excited!! #1 It gets her ready for kindergarden #2 IT'S FREE!! (maybe that's reason #1) When I went to the orientation I learned that they hadn't finished all of the necessary compliance issues to open on time so they let Keiya go to the kindergarden class. Of course, she will do kindergarden again next year at a different school, but it's a huge blessing that they just let her "be" in kindergarden. They said it was a favor since we work in the district! Yeah! No complaints here. She absolutely loves it. During the first week, she came in at 5am and told us that it was light outside so we needed to get up and get ready for school! We promptly ushered her back to bed for another hour! I hope the excitement for school continues! Here are a couple pictures from that first day! It is a uniform school and I thought she looked so grown up in her little uniform! I think we all look a little tired! Summer is officially over! Boo hoo :(

I wish I took a picture of first #3! I am so stinkin' mad that I didn't. I went in to Keiya's room to check on her and found torn up pieces of coloring book pages on her wall. On top of the pages were bowls from her little kitchen. I couldn't figure out how she would get them to stay so FIRMLY on the wall. I figured she used her stickers only I didn't see any. Come to find out, she used got into her "school supply" box and used the "purple" glue stick to stick them all up there. I couldn't help but laugh....it was a very interesting masterpiece. Too bad it had to come down! And it took a lot of scrubbing!

I can't believe that I am already going into my fourth week back of teaching. Time flies. We have a much better group this year! I actually like my job again! I might even plan another field trip before baby #2 makes her grand entrance. We are trying to do the Museum of Tolerance again! Now it's time to fundraise!!!! We are doing good and can't wait for it to cool down!!!
